This workshop emphasizes the connection to other in the practice of Yoga by utilizing partner work and elements inspired by Contact Improvisation. It is an opportunity to grow your practice, not only by challenging yourself to work with others, but by opening to touching, moving, and even dancing with a number of different partners. All of this of course is in a safe environment, and Pavan Deep (Cayree Dobsch) and I will be checking in to make everyone is reasonably comfortable. To open to new levels of emotional and physical intimacy we stretch our perceived boundaries and limitations and coming to honor and respect each other more deeply. Because some of the postures and movements can be strenuous, we ask that only folks with some background in yoga or dance register for the workshop, and that the participants be in good physical and emotional health.

In support of Spirit of Yoga, and because I believe in its mission to reach out to and connect the St. Louis Yoga Community, I am putting myself on this Facebook/Website. I tend to be a vociferous denouncer of all things Facebook, but I find such a viewpoint to be inflexible and therefore, un-yogic. I still submit that Life is lived elsewhere than in front of the computer screen, but there is a time and a place for everything, so here I am. See ya in the Facebook matrix; may we all eventually be Free! (see my blog at www.wellspringyogastlouis.com for other postings on yoga topics).
